J2's Route
Rollathon 2008 Completed!! Pictures, Film, and Full Story coming to J2RollsOn.com Friday July 18th

Since his spinal cord injury after a motorcycle accident in 1999 at the age of 19, John J2 Mryczko has been using his wheelchair in unconventional ways. Before driving a vehicle to most places as he does now J2 used his wheelchair for transportation everywhere. From home to the mall, from home to college classes, and then in summer of 2001 a 3 hour chairing trip to his cousins. His wheelchair took place of the bike and skateboard he once use to ride.

In summer of 2002 he set out on a 80 mile roll from his home in Morton Grove Illinois to Lake Geneva Wisconsin. This Rollathon took three days to complete, a total of 17 rolling hours.

A few years after the Rollathon J2 started driving again and the chairing everywhere stopped. He may not be chairing everywhere, but he continues to use his wheelchair for sport activities and chairing stunts. He has also been involved in Extreme Chairing's annual 43 mile Trail Ride the past 3 years.

This year in 2008 J2 has set a new challenge of crossing the Illinois state.
This will be his longest chairing adventure since his Rollathon 2002 to Lake Geneva. He will be leaving from his Chicago suburb on July 4th Independence Day and will travel West towards Davenport Iowa. The Rollathon is 200 miles, and will take an estimated 7 days to complete.

J2 will be raising awareness for spinal cord injury research, and trying to raise money to complete his adaptive recreational sports vehicle. This vehicle will give him more freedom, independence and help him to get more involved in the action sports he loves.

J2 is looking for donators and sponsors to help him in any way they can. Parts, products, and donations will help in a big way, and will only add motivation to complete this long chairing adventure. J2 is ready to endorse and promote supportive sponsors, and appreciates any help he can get.
